Beautiful Edibles

What to eat to make your skin beautiful

When I used to perform facials, some my clients over a certain age would point to their lower jawlines and ask me “Sue, is there anything you can do about this?” Often referring to that delicate neck skin that droops a little.  Oh, It’s never that serious but the truth is collagen becomes deficient for everyone over the age of 25 because that’s when you begin losing the body’s most vital protein.

Collagen is what gives that glow to your skin, hair it’s shine and helps nails stay nice and strong. As we get older collagen production slows down. Our skin begins to lose firmness and elasticity. Taking collagen in the form of a drink can have beauty benefits that outlast and improve the body for years to come.

Collagen peptides are available in a fine powder that you can mix into your favorite smoothie, cup of coffee, home baked goodie, or infused in “col

lagen water” making it even easier to digest.  My own personal beauty regimen includes these peptides in my diet and my skin stays firm and wrinkle free.

Another edible beauty hack I adore and recommend is Aloe Vera water from the health food store. It nourishes all of your internal organs, provides hydration with perfect body alkalinity, it relieves constipation; gives clear skin, numerous digestive benefits and a nutritious boost!

It’s the beverage that truly makes your skin glow! Which is no wonder all the models I’ve worked with swear by it. I keep mine in the fridge and use it over sunburned skin, as a toner in the summer or sip it when I have heartburn. Edible beauty is taking care of you from the inside out.

      Hi Kimberly,

Thank you so much! In the past, I hired graphic designers to upload media and content to my websites. However, the process often involved lengthy back-and-forth emails and calls, and I ultimately found it difficult to rely on others. I highly recommend Christina Hills’ Website Creation Workshop—it has significantly improved my ability to design and manage my websites independently, whenever I need to.
